* STUDIO GLITHERO * at Gallery Fumi - Design Festival

FUMI opened at the beginning of 2008 in the heart of Shoreditch. The friendly furniture design and art gallery has a distinctly non-corporate feel, populated entirely by interesting and unusual pieces lovingly chosen by its two owners – Shoreditch locals out to remedy a perceived lack of authentic design-based offerings in their art-rich neighbourhood.
Showcasing the work of emerging designers like Max Lamb, Paul Cocksedge, Pieke Bergmans, Paul Kelley, the unifying factor is the owners' genuine love of each item, selected as if 'bought for their home'.

Transplant is a creative centre which allows you to go from the conceptual idea to a final shape without wasting time. A creative plateform with room for exhibitions, seminars and meetings, a place for small and grand occasions alike.
Our tools for design and product development – the material library and the prototype workshop - are unique resources at your disposal.
The building, which is designed by architect Attila Eris (known for example for his work with Paul Klee Zentrum, Bern, on appointment by Renzo Piano), covers 600 m2 and is situated at the banks of the intimate and beautiful Dalsfjorden.

Icon Experiment

The icon experiment is a feature at the UK’s biggest homes and interiors exhibition. In a space designed by architects FAT, the icon experiment will present work from some of the world’s most thought-provoking designers. Our aim is to produce the antidote to home shows, with a daily schedule of performances, interaction design, animation and special projects.
Studio Glithero is exhibiting a new installation. Resembling a chandelier, a ceiling-mounted machine rotates and repeatedly dips wick frames into a pool of wax, gradually forming 20 wax candles. The studio is also showing giant black chandeliers and documentation of a previous performance, Burn Burn Burn.
Studio Glithero was co-founded by Sarah Van Gameren and Tim Simpson, who studied together at London’s RCA
